Born in Georgia, I left for a long time living overseas and in Ohio and Kentucky to study German language and literature. My original Bachelor’s degree was in Studio Art (Drawing & Painting), so overseas I was overjoyed to be able to view artwork that I’d only previously looked at in books or slides. I taught English later in Leipzig, Germany and in the Czech Republic, in a little town, Celakovice, near Prague. I’m an animal lover, a nature lover, a peace lover, and I’m glad to say that I have a positive world view. Since I was interested in the classics, I started studying Latin, which was my first foreign language, at a young age. You may be surprised to learn that I was a voracious reader of Greek mythology as a kid and that I won a national championship in Greek Mythology.
